It’s very rare to find a band like Good Old War that has acquired such a vast following in such a short amount of time. After releasing critically acclaimed “Only Way To Be Alone” their popularity soared and many bands started citing them as influences. We had the opportunity to interview Good Old War and you can read that below, also don’t forget to visit their myspace which you can find right here
Please state your name and what you do in the band?
My name is Dan and I play guitar and sing backup.

From the masterminds behind Steel Train and The Format comes fun., this band formed in the winter of 2008 and have showed no signs of slowing down since then. They are releasing their debut album Aim and Ignite August 25th. I was bummed when The Format decided to call it quits but I have to say that this album is The Format on steroids and I actually think I enjoy them more.
The album starts off with “Be Calm” with an accordian playing then goes right into Nates vocals with some great lyrics on the track, and for the most part through the whole album.
Another standout track for me is “Walking The Dog” which has some great drums on the track and innovative guitar work.
As for the singer of Steel Train being involved, this is a huge departure to anything that Steel Train has done, I love Steel Train but I really hope not only he but also Nate put this as a top priority because it deserves that type of attention.

Welcome to the first edition of the “Next Big Thing” post we will be doing every Sunday, we will be featuring an artist that we think has the potential to be the Next Big thing. So as it being our first edition we chose a band that has been tearing up the indie scene for the past few years named Dear And The Headlights, hailing from Phoenix Arizona they started playing together in 2002 and the past few years is when they started making a name for themselves mainly in 2007 when they released Small Steps, Heavy Hooves on Equalvision. they went on to do endless touring after releasing that album and released their Sophmore album Drunk Like Bible Times in 2008.
